The Mt. Vernon-Enola School District is a great place for parents and students alike.  The "down-home" atmosphere is appealing to almost every age group.  This can be seen in the nostalgic building and facilities in which the school and community take pride.  The relaxed and family atmosphere belies the serious emphasis placed on student achievement and availability of resources.  Our students are exposed to the world of information and advanced technology within the classroom setting.  Internet capabilities are afforded in virtually every classroom, where communication with state, local, and national information systems is at the fingertips of students.  Students are exposed to a wide variety of curriculum choices, ranging from horticulture to physics.  Serious emphasis is placed in the area of student achievement and students' abilities to academically succeed in society.  The Mt. Vernon-Enola School District also places emphasis on the attitudes and personal qualities of our students.  A comprehensive K-12 character education program models and teaches social skills to helping the development of a well-rounded individual.  Our State Report Card shows our school has excellent rating on Stanford 9 test scores and in other areas of school performance.  Patrons are invited to become acquainted with staff members.  The employees are one of the greatest assets of the Mt.
